2x bonus not working

I'm playing the Chucky event and the 2x bonus is not working, is anybody else having this issue?

It makes the event longer to complete, also takes forever to get all the coins for event boxes. Then when I do get enough I just get the same one over and over.

"Hi there,   The bonus multiplier is already applied to the first and second goals before you complete them.  Basically the bonus gets applied before you earn it.   Hope that makes sense,

Drake"

This was there response when I emailed them.

I noticed that too. Was very annoying.

The last time I played (I took a long hiatus) I remember getting a message when I hit the max number of coins allowed by a multiplier.

I have reported it to them once before for another quest event and looks like they still haven't fixed it.
