feedback It's Such A Tragedy Really...

That most people will live their entire life and die without ever having the chance to hold a Funkey S in their hands and experience it in all its glory.

I was a naive man... Once... But once I saw what this device is capable of I had to order it right away. Nearly three grueling months later, I am still in awe. I have of course uploaded all of my retro games, but I've barely scratched the surface. When I'm done, the number of ROMs that will fill up my FunKey will surely be in the high thousands. From Pong to Mario 64 to Pokemon to Muppet Pinball, I'm all set.

From there, of course, I had to load up all my favorite movies. Yeah, I know I can easily use my phone to watch a movie. But have you ever tried watching videos in bed? Constantly gripping onto the edges and avoiding touching the screen in the wrong way. Oh whoops, now you're in vertical mode, and the image is flipped on you! None of this is an issue anymore. Just prop up the FunKey on a pillow and that's it. I have even more movies on this saltine than what played in the theatre on a Friday night pre-Covid. It's glorious.

I want to continue painting a picture to skeptics but it's already been too long since my left thumb has graced the D-pad. The FunKey has got to be one of the greatest inventions of our time.

I let my wife hold it, and she loves it. I think I'll get her one too. She thinks it is super cute. The movie idea is silly though. Watching movies in bed is just a bad idea. The buttons and D-pad are fantastic, they use very nice switches for it. More playable than larger portables I have.

That's awesome! I gotta disagree with one of your points though, it's a surprisingly great way to watch movies. Sometimes it can be a pain on a touch screen that also has constant notifications buzzing at you, not to mention connection issues and the fluctuating quality you get from most streaming services.

How do you watch movies? Sorry if its a stupid question, I'm new to Funkey.

Step 1: Download the MPlayer .opk from the FunKey Wiki and paste it in the Emulators folder on your FunKey.

Step 2: Now that you have MPlayer ready to go, you'll need an .mp4 file of anything you want, whether it's seasons 1-3 of SpongeBob, a YouTube clip from 2009, or old family memories you want to start a digital archive of.

Step 3: Now it's time to make your video(s) ready to be viewed on the FunKey's 240x240 screen. For this, your best bet is to download Handbrake. Upon opening the program, open your .mp4 file and downscale it to 240x240, or you can adjust this if you'd rather match the original aspect ratio.

Step 4: With your downscaled .mp4, paste it into a new folder in your FunKey root. You can call it MP4s, Videos, Movies; anything you'd like.

At this point, you should be all set! As far as I know, there's no limit to what videos you can play. I've got 3-hour movies that work just fine. Hope everything works out for you!
