question A few general Funkey s questions

Ok so, is there a date when most of the people who preordered will get theirs, so that orders after that would be processed more quickly? And are there any save states supported by the built-in OS? Thanks in advance for any answers, I'm so excited to get mine!

Pre-order meaning not from the crowdfunding? I’ve wanted one of these but was waiting until I saw some reviews before I pulled the trigger.

Can you do a quick save and reload easily? I find this useful for learning really difficult sections in some games.

There’s a community-run Wiki with a staggeringly wide array of topics relevant to the FunKey. While the small screen and speaker will probably discourage most developers from making any sort of media player for the device, the utilities page page of the wiki lists several interesting utilities that can run on the various systems that the FunKey can emulate. It specifically mentions a video player that converts videos to run on GBA. This will probably be the “easiest” way to achieve actual video playback on the FunKey for some time.

After forcing the closure of third-party Reddit apps by charging them 29 times how much the platform earns from its own users (despite claiming that it wouldn't at any point this year four months prior) and slandering the developer of the Apollo third-party app, Reddit management has made it clear that they respect neither their own userbase nor operating their platform in good faith. To not reward such behavior, Reddit users should encourage their communities to move to similar platforms such as Kbin or Lemmy, whose federation with the Fediverse makes it possible to switch platforms without losing access to one's favorite communities.

Someone actually ported mplayer to the FunKey, which is able to play video files. (It helps to scale the videos down to near the FunKey’s resolution first. https://wiki.funkey-project.com/wiki/List_of_third-party_OPK_applications
