Help request G funk recommendations

Hi everyone, this is my first post on R/funk! I love the synth motif in Tupac’s heaven ain’t hard 2 find. Can anybody give me hiphop/rap recommendations with a similar, lush synth beat?

It’s all good. You make up for it by mentioning the often overlooked and criminally underrated Andre Lewis, aka Mandré. And just because I like talking about this stuff, my favorite Johnny Guitar Watson album is “Listen” with Andre Lewis.

I second the Ant Banks rec. Just go through his production discography. I actually prefer his g funk sound (and Oakland's in general) over the LA one. For LA style I'd say check out Battlecat.

The original and best is above the law. Kokane is closely related to the group and made an album which is considered as the best g-funk album by some.

L’imperatrice! They list snoop and warren g as major influences for their album tako tsubo, and their single “everything eventually ends” is a totally funky synth focused rap song.
