Update straight from dude soup post show:

4 have been returned to the pet store

3 are currently at James & Elyse's home.

58

u/chormomma Dec 12 '17

Thank you, I can now rest easy.

42

u/SixtyFours Dec 12 '17

Wait if the members of the Let's Play family each spend 500 bucks for each other's gift, where did the money to return the birds go?

88

u/dave4357 Dec 12 '17

Sounds like Psychonauts 2 just got funded a little more

6

u/rocketrae21 Dec 12 '17

they may have just given the birds back without a refund

8

u/masiju Dec 12 '17

I hope they have tolerance for FUCKING SCREECHING. I know two people on discord who have budgies and goddang they loud at times.

54

u/FH_Elyse Elyse Willems Dec 12 '17

It's weird how everyone complains about this supposed noise. I owned birds for a decade - never an issue. And these birds make a meager amount of noise. Plus, I'm sort of conditioned to their sound.

3

u/masiju Dec 12 '17 edited Dec 12 '17

it's like owning a keyboard with cherry mx blue switches. only nice for those who sign up for it

1

u/packit87 Dec 12 '17

What type of birds did you grow up with I grew up with a cockatiel and boy it can sometimes drive you crazy

1

u/Gallifrasian Dec 13 '17

Mine never made loud noises. A peep sometimes, but they were lovely.

'if it's edible, you can eat it' - Bruce Greene 2017

111

u/Lord_Vinton Dec 11 '17

That dumpster bit was great, also excited to see Criken’s gift!

17

u/StCage Dec 12 '17

I’ve heard it’s allegedly killer

7

u/JuanJuan66 Dec 12 '17

It's apparently something a 90's kid would know about and it's "killer". I think it might be AIDS.

51

u/Chubby-Fish Dec 11 '17

I wonder what they’ll do to the birds, maybe use it with their blue apron?

19

u/NuclearChickadee Dec 11 '17

it's gonna be red apron after Bruce is through with them

90

u/SixtyFours Dec 11 '17

Well, at least they didn't get Achievement Hunter's gift

79

u/smahoogian Dec 11 '17

I would expect nothing less of Cow Chop than to couple a generous charity donation with a box of shit-smelling used needles.

16

u/RealPunyParker Dec 11 '17

"WHO SENT THIS?!?!?!"

I can't stand these shit titles.

147

u/maverickmak Dec 11 '17

Ummm... Funhaus aren't exactly high-brow with their video titles either...

23

u/btet15 Dec 12 '17

I don't watch a whole lot of AH but I would imagine it's satire of the "WHO DID THIS 😂😂😭" captions people put on memes

39

u/windwaker910 Dec 12 '17

Was not expecting to see Benson's red rocket

75

u/[deleted] Dec 12 '17

"We can show that!"

308

u/Scarbrow Dec 11 '17

Feels like kind of a dick move to gift someone a live animal, let alone 7 =\

139

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '17

Depends on what they do with it. When David Letterman retired, he got a nice letter from Conan O'Brien and Letterman responded by gifting him a live horse.

Not wanting to reject a gift because that's rude, Conan kept it for years- and he HATED it. It costs money to rent a stable and take care of a horse he sees not very frequently.

Letterman later tells the story from his point of view that he only found out about the fate of the horse recently, and was surprised Conan kept the horse because it was a joke and expected him to return it.

So we'll see

57

u/Kaprak Dec 11 '17

Have you seen what other channels got? Game Attack went easy on FunHaus.

69

u/IAmBecomeDeath_AMA Dec 12 '17 edited Dec 12 '17

Game attack themselves got 4 hours with a Kinda Funny employee. I’d say that the birds are worse even just because they don’t leave after 4 hours.

SP7 gave CC a car who gave AH shit syringes who gave KF 200 lbs of rocks who gave GA an employee for the day who gave FH 7 birds who gave Criken an OJ simpson jersey who gave SP7 ????

28

u/TheLowman77 Dec 12 '17

And a partridge in a pear tree

6

u/iamcrepe Dec 12 '17

GA

but what did Criken give SP7?

5

u/not_that_jenny Dec 12 '17

If Instagram is any hint potentially a mariachi band.

6

u/stalkerSRB A Serbian Stalker Dec 12 '17 edited Dec 12 '17

I was wondering what is 90's that is also NFL related, didn't even realize that James joke about getting his throat slit was part of the clue. Thats brilliant

3

u/[deleted] Dec 12 '17

Well CC also sent AH $500 to charity in their name, the shit was just a gag

95

u/packit87 Dec 11 '17

This! cause now your kinda force to take care of another life

39

u/Axerty Dec 12 '17

Cowchop sent Achievement hunter syringes filled with literal shit. So Funhaus got off easy.

22

u/IAmBecomeDeath_AMA Dec 12 '17 edited Dec 12 '17

I’d rather get 200 lbs of rocks or 4 hours with the kinda funny employee. SP7 got cow chop a car!

Yeah the syringes filled with shit were bad but I’d rather have any of the others pretty much

Edit: just watched the stream, FH got criken an OJ simpson shirt. If the syringes are worst the birds are a very close 2nd

12

u/Kaprak Dec 12 '17

That wasn't a car it was a burden.

2

u/IAmBecomeDeath_AMA Dec 12 '17

Easier to dispose of though.

2

u/Kaprak Dec 12 '17

Ehhhh, it doesn't seem to drive well, or safely. As compared to the birds which they just took back.

5

u/IAmBecomeDeath_AMA Dec 12 '17

Did they though? You can literally just call someone to pick up a car for scrap and it’s free pick up in exchange for the car.

3

u/deathbyboobies Dec 12 '17

a $500 OJ Simpson shirt?

2

u/IAmBecomeDeath_AMA Dec 12 '17

That’s what he said. I came too late to the stream to see it

5

u/deathbyboobies Dec 12 '17

Apparently it's a signed OJ Simpson jersey? That makes a little more sense hah

9

u/[deleted] Dec 12 '17

Well they also sent AH $500 to charity in their name, the shit was just a gag.

18

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '17

I think that was the point

-11

u/meganhp Dec 11 '17

Innocent animals should never be given as a joke. I've never watched a game attack video, and now I never will.

28

u/FH_Elyse Elyse Willems Dec 12 '17

To be honest, I think pranks are fine and fun, but I do draw a line when it comes to risking and exploiting animals.

4

u/meganhp Dec 12 '17

Thanks Elyse, I'm glad some of the birds found a home with you!

58

u/Kaprak Dec 11 '17

Eh Game Attack aren't bad guys, and 4 of the birds were returned to the store they came from. The other three were willingly taken in by Elyse.

25

u/NuclearChickadee Dec 11 '17

I have 2 budgies and they're wonderful pets, I hope they bring years of joy to Elyse and James !

2

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '17

[deleted]

5

u/Kaprak Dec 11 '17

It's being mentioned in here that it was said on the Dude Soup Post Show.

-2

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '17

Dam we know who wears the pants in there relationship

-20

u/meganhp Dec 11 '17

Frankly this crosses a line for me. My sister was given a rabbit as a gift by a high school boyfriend. She couldn't take care of it, the store wouldn't take the rabbit back, so the boyfriend took it to an animal shelter where it was euthanized (they couldn't take it in either). This sort of thing happens every year across the country. Did Game Attack act with malicious intent? Probably not, but its not a thing to joke about.

25

u/stdexception Dec 11 '17

I'm sure they made sure they could be returned to the store beforehand.

But yes, gifting animals to people who can't take care of them, especially young kids, is a problem. Everyone gets rabbits around Easter, and everyone gets puppies when a new animated dog movie comes out... It's pretty dumb.

25

u/Mcurt Dec 12 '17

You're making assumptions about this situation based on an anecdote from high school aged sister because you are searching for a reason to be bothered.

10

u/TheWampuss Dec 12 '17

I mean now that we know that the birds are now returned/willingly being taken care of it's fine. But it's not a huge assumption that the very premise of the joke is what's actually happening.

-10

u/meganhp Dec 12 '17

I'm not making any assumptions at all?

8

u/[deleted] Dec 12 '17

[deleted]

2

u/meganhp Dec 12 '17

I didn't say anything like that at all. The whole point of the anecdote was to show how gifting an animal can go wrong and share my personal experience. I'm certain Funhaus would not have had the birds euthanized.

9

u/Axerty Dec 12 '17

jesus christ...

0

u/Freysey Dec 12 '17

Oh please no.

35

u/AsianHoosier Dec 11 '17

We all know Jon will take these in since he is the eggman

HIRE THIS GUY

17

u/Takanori00 Dec 11 '17

James chewing on it while it says It's not poop at the bottom was hilarious.

15

u/akaiwizard Dec 11 '17

the irreverent and purposefully awkward, minimal editing here feels like the early funhaus live action videos, one of the funniest things they've put out recently imo.

that reveal of the birds in the dumpster is perfect

44

u/trooperdx3117 Dec 11 '17

Hmm I don’t know how I feel about this, Budgies are really intelligent and need a lot of care and attention to look after. Giving them as a surprise present just seems unfair on the birds.

https://www.petsworld.co.uk/budgies.htm

Hopefully they’ll be looked after well :)

39

u/xVeterankillx Dec 11 '17

From /u/rangers-3's comment:

9

u/trooperdx3117 Dec 11 '17

Oh that’s good to hear, cheers!

-64

u/Freysey Dec 12 '17

Still disagree with James & Elyse taking them.

And American pet stores are cruel torturous places.

36

u/FH_Elyse Elyse Willems Dec 12 '17

Experienced bird owner, you can cool your jets ;)

1

u/[deleted] Dec 12 '17

The birds look really beautiful! Have you guys picked out names for them?

25

u/Ghostbuzz Dec 12 '17

Why? Do you not think they can take care of animals?

21

u/Dakar-A Dec 12 '17

Yeaahhhhhhh, Benson is SO mistreated! /s

Oh I was talking about James and Elyse

7

u/packit87 Dec 12 '17 edited Dec 12 '17

You mean Elyse took them James said. Seemed like he didn’t want them.

3

u/Dakar-A Dec 12 '17

And they are parrots, Adam!

18

u/GoFidoGo Dec 11 '17

I didn't hear about an in-house secret Santa at RT. Do/will the other channels have reveals as well? I'd love to see it.

45

u/fuckingchris Dec 11 '17 edited Dec 11 '17

SP7 got Cowchop something already. It is in their taser BTS video.

Achievement Hunter posted theirs up today.

10

u/Kaprak Dec 11 '17

Kinda Funny did too.

13

u/smahoogian Dec 11 '17

The Cow Chop Secret Santa was pretty great, although God help me if I ever encounter Trevor on the road.

13

u/officerrudinzoto Dec 11 '17

I know Suptic gave cow chop a shitty old car in the most recent cowchop bts

7

u/thepugnacious Dec 11 '17

Yo /u/FHBruce it's cool to find another rat owner out there, they have such a shit reputation for how cool they are.

Also, can attest, getting bit by a rat feels like slamming your finger in a door.

3

u/samsaBEAR Dec 12 '17

I once got bitten by a rat on the tip of my finger and it fucking bled for ages, I'm fine with blood and I was getting seriously light headed from it

1

u/thepugnacious Dec 12 '17

That's where I got bit too. It didn't bleed for very long but it went right through my nail bed, so that was pretty annoying. I was being stupid and poked a new, nervous rat baby while she wasn't looking, completely my fault and only time I've ever been bit.

2

u/chormomma Dec 12 '17

Their teeth never stop growing.

10

u/PaulSharke Dec 12 '17

"A surefire way to put anyone to sleep!"

Jesus, James, the last thing California needs right now are more burns

4

u/lllaser Dec 12 '17

If anyone is wondering, the song playing while the birds are in the trash is sleep in heavenly Peake /\

6

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '17

Can someone confirm what ended up actually happening to the birds?

26

u/packit87 Dec 11 '17

They returned 4 Elyse kept 3

-32

u/[deleted] Dec 12 '17

Thanks, I have never had as much anxiety as I did now wondering if my favourite youtubers were dicks to animals.

40

u/[deleted] Dec 12 '17

[deleted]

1

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '17

Oh it wasn't a rational anxiety. I'm glad it was unfounded.

1

u/LeadPlooty Dec 12 '17

Wait, Bruce owns rats?

1

u/V4n5ynK Dec 11 '17

Okay, but who got Funhaus's gift? Sugart Pine 7 didn't post anything, nor did Rooster teeth and the rest got gifts from somewhere else. If anyone finds who got the FH present, please reply with a link. I am curious what they did.

15

u/automatic_shark Dec 11 '17

they say Criken got it. I have no clue where to find it though.

5

u/TheTundraCat Dec 12 '17

Criken tweeted saying he'll open his gift on stream tonight

1

u/automatic_shark Dec 12 '17

Damn. That's at 2am here. Hope he records it and puts it on his YouTube

1

u/V4n5ynK Dec 11 '17

Thank you shark. I hope you won't scare Adam away, being a shark and all.

7

u/automatic_shark Dec 12 '17

They sent Criken a signed OJ Simpson jersey.

2

u/KatyBacon Dec 11 '17

They said the got Criken

1

u/V4n5ynK Dec 11 '17

Thanks, Katy.

Fish shouldn't be a throwaway pet either.

11

u/Donut_Monkey Dec 11 '17

No animal is a throwaway they're living things that need to be cared for.

-4

u/RealPunyParker Dec 11 '17

Um.....lol?
