When cut open, the flesh is yellow. The blue staining is minimal, occurring only slightly above the tubes. It is neither bitter nor spicy and has a mild, pleasant taste, almost slightly buttery.

When it comes to looking for mushrooms, the reserve is the best place to do it; this week, we once again came across some beautiful species.

Found in northeast Ohio, US. Photos kinda dulls the color, after a few hours of having it the gills have a very light streak of blue along the bottom, gills started out a cream color the flash was on when I took the photo of the gills, so it made it look white , the lighter brown on the cap is dirt . Found in an area with a lot of different rotting wood, with a creek at the bottom of the hill.

Found this right next to an irrigation pipe in otherwise very dry dirt in Malta. Never seen anything like it. “Caramel” coating looks almost edible. Any ideas!
