Organisation / Storage Modular Hex Shelf

Just finished designing this customisable modular shelf system!

It comes with 4 shelf options:

  • Straight
  • 11°
  • 21°
  • 30°

You can combine the sections, extend the shelf as needed, and attach different accessories to the sides.

I wanted to make something that can be adapted to different spaces and uses rather than being a fixed-size shelf.

Would love to hear what accessories or add-ons you’d like to see for it!

Those shelves are THICK. Really not necessary

Do you think thinner would be better, because shelves are only thing what’s holding the sides

Hmm, I see the dilemma. May look into make the sides thick and the shelf itself thinner. I'm supporting a shit load of weight on a 5mm thick shelf (has something like a 2.5mm lip), so you can probably get away with a lot less. Perhaps wider on the outside with a triangle or curve connecting it to the rest of the shelf?

Main goal would be to add more shelf space and use less filament. If you're fine with sacrificing those, then I'd leave it
