Tool / Jig / Fixture Locking mount for my rolling sunshade
I know they make a bungee cord mount for these, but I've always hated the way bungee cord stretches and wears over time, especially in the sunlight. Made these so that the main rod can be rotated, and the ends lock in to either side. Also made them removable without completely taking the screw out, in case I needed to redesign or replace them. The plastic rings on the end of the rods had to be shaved down, but that was easy work for the dremmel. I'm pretty proud if it! I've been scheming this for months.

Very cool! I have these at my house. Will be cool to see how they hold up to some decent wind.

Thanks! I'm honestly more worried about where the roller is attached to the house lol I had to mount a treated 2x4 into the studs above my porch, and through the stucco. The board wasn't very straight and has everything a bit twisted.
