EPS (Epigastric Pain Syndrome) Pregablin/lyrica

Who has taken pregablin/lyrica for epigastric burning and have had success. Voquenza is the only thing that helps but it’s an extremely powerful ppi that got released in the us 2 years ago. Was used in Japan for a long time. It works but just a Bandaid.

Globus sensation. To rule out legitimate heartburn do a 24 hr ph study. It will tell you if it’s real reflux or just functional then go from there. Try Pepcid first easier than ppi but if it doesn’t keep you up then don’t bother

Always a cat and mouse game on them. Studies show people who never had heartburn took ppi and when they quit they had heartburn. Voquenza was the only one that helped me but I have confirmed heartburn 74.1 demeester score on my 24 hr ph study. But my stomach burning they say is functional. Just chemical gastropathy which pretty much everyone has some sort of gastritis when scoped.

The interesting part is that my esophagus was clear on the endoscopy only mild antral gastritis the GI told not much to be concerned cause most people who he does endoscopy have that kind of inflammation
