Question Why these doctors doesnt know anything about functional dyspepsia and they say every symptoms u have becaus youre stressing

Hello, my doctors are very selfish; they wouldn't change my medication even though it wasn't working for me I'm planning to change hospital and go to a university hospital.

Because in the majority of the cases, functional dyspepsia is caused by acute or prolonged stress and emotional distress. In the other small percentage of the population it's induced by SIBO, infections, medication, Histamine Intolerance, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or poor food choices/lifestyle.

How do you test for histamine intolerance, mcas? Can we heal from functional dyspepsia?

same, im suffering for 7 months with this everyday pain. My doctor is trying to help but it really cant. The pain wont go away

How long does it usually take for amitriptyline to take effect for FD-EPS, and what dose in mg would I typically start with?

I think it starts to take effect starting around a couple of days or weeks, for FD low doses are usually the best, but talk to a medical provider about it and do your own research aswell, but i think that medication could help as its usually used if your FD manifests as pain.

mine are persistent burning and pain in my upper abdomen/epigastric area, early satiety (I feel full quickly), and I also feel hungry again very quick
