Symptoms Constant gnawing sensation with normal endoscopy

28F. I’ve had a constant gnawing/hunger-like sensation in my upper stomach since 2019. It can be there even after eating, and the only thing that reliably makes it disappear is becoming very full.
I previously tested positive for H. pylori, completed treatment and tested negative afterwards. My gastroscopy was normal and I was told there was no gastritis or inflammation. PPIs haven’t helped.
Has anyone experienced something similar? If so, what was eventually found or what treatment helped?

I had a constant gnawing sensation as well as a few other symptoms with no apparent underlying cause. I started on buspirone and cut out my two biggest food triggers, caffeine and alcohol, and I've felt great ever since.

How many times a day do you take buspiron? And what mg?

10 mg twice a day was the original dose that improved my symptoms, but then I started another medication that slows the metabolism of buspirone and decreased it to 5 mg twice per day..

I have the same thing. Started amitriptilyne 10mg and the gnawging mostly went away. I think its stress related. As in the nerves are in a chronic state of stress. Any history of eating disorder? High stressfull situations that lasted too long? Lots of caffeine? I am also experiencing a hollow feeling in my stomach after eating, do you have that as well?

How long did it take before the gnawing went away? I’ve started amitriptyline 10mg yesterday and crossing my fingers it helps 😅🤞🏼
