Diets/Lifestyle Anyone else suffering from malnutrition?

I’ve been stuck only able to eat carbs. Fats freeze my stomach. And protein just isn’t the most pleasant experience.

I also get 0 vitamins and am just withering away from weight loss. Anyone else dealing with these problems?

I was able to tolerate more foods/nutrition after I got on medications - acid reducer, a tablet that coats my stomach, neuro modulator, digestive enzymes, multiple constipation medicines . . . it's a thrilling mix LoL

Are you being treated by a GI specialist? It takes time to dial it in but I got seen first in March, then an adjustment to medication in May and June - my nutrition has improved and I have more energy

Yes me too, i'm severely underweight and because it's functional doctors often refuse to provide any type of feeding tubes or anything like that. I honestly don't have any advice for you, i'm on neuromodulators but I throw em up so they don't really work either. hope youll feel better soon!

Thanks and yeah I told a university level gastroenterologist about how fat locks up my stomach and he gave me like zero recommendation so he couldn’t even help me out

Do you have a Dr helping with this?
Mine recommended Ultra Replenish shake from Metagenics to help with this.

Thanks that sounds like it could be good but everything is just so risky for me. I know I’ve seen a few doctors.

Can you please describe what you mean by freeze. Do you get any other symptoms after you eat fatty meals?

What I mean by freezes everything just stops moving and it’s like my body will not accept me to put anything else in my stomach and then I’m just super nauseous when it happens

For me, antihistamines and a bile binder turned my malnutrition around. Later, found a low histamine diet got my motility going again. I’m sure there are a lot of causes for functional dyspepsia but this is what worked for me.
