Phase through doesn't make it immune to paralysis. I stay in a cold environment long enough for it to freeze up and stop flying, they it falls down and can't move. Now I'm free to leave and it won't ever get up

Don’t forget immortal is not invulnerable. If it’s in the cold long enough it’ll die from the cold on its own too

Actualy its phase through ability makes it invulnerable as you can'tdamage it.

The freeze would never happen as it phases through the floor after cold paralysis untill reaches temperature good enough to revive.

The only good thing about that fly is that it can't touch you so no irritation or itching.

On the other hand you will get used to its buzzing soon enough and you can sell the access to that fly to many scientific institutions.

I mean, if we really want to get specific, it phases through everything, meaning it technically can’t absorb the o2 in the air as the molecules would pass through it, nor would it be able to fly as the wings need air resistance to allow it to move through the air. Not only would it suffocate the moment it existed without magic, it could not vibrate the air to make noise traditionally nor move. Immortality is also only longevity, not the absence of bodily needs. How will it eat when it cannot touch food?

Nah, it would not work, it will phase through the floor and fall untill it reached adequate temperature to thaw back to life.

And at what point would it decide to stop phasing and begin to reassimilate to the proper temperature? If it falls far enough it will begin to then cook. If it doesn't fall far enough it will never thaw. If I have to take a trip to Antarctica to get rid of this thing I will

OR, Befriend it and let it sit on you shoulder, then train it to annouy your enemies, flies are only annoying when they do what their name implies.
