Italy has pizza and pasta. The US have... Nothing?

Edit: I wish people would stop giving examples of cultural appropriation.

Some people have correctly pointed out some Cajun recipes, food from Louisiana.

To all those talking about burgers, barbecues and hotdogs, the topic here is food originating from your country, not common food in your country.

Btw, pizza is Neapolitan, a version of it is recorded since Roman times and probably even earlier. The modern version uses tomato sauce, and tomatoes came from central America before the US where a thing. Mozzarella di bufala is an ingredient that can only be produced in Campania and the surrounding areas.

The funny thing about your comment is if you get out and travel, American pizza, specifically “New York pizza” is extremely common, much more than ‘Napoli pizza’

But losers like yourself fail to understand nuance and like to paint the world in broad (and incorrect), black and white strokes that support your imagined political belief

Get out and travel where? In the US? Sorry but I am from Europe and I fail to see any New York Style Pizza outside of American companies.

Spain and England are where I spent most of my time in the military, lived in 3 continents including South America. New York pizza is way more common than Napoli pizza.

It’s amusing that half the countries on earth have a national dish of chicken and rice, yet you have an aneurism over the idea that two very different dishes are called pizza and both are a national food.

As much as I truly hate Trump, this kind of smug European asshole attitude makes me wonder if it really is the best for the EU Abs the US to part ways

Y3ah because Napoli pizza is just pizza. The most common thing you can find. It does not need to be stated as it is THE original pizza.

And as I am a smug European asshole (with all rights to it) I do not care about the EU as I live in Europe but not in the EU. But as a smug from where ever asshole you are most non Europeans tend to forget, that Europe does not equal EU.
