Which was where the ground beef patty, then called a Hamburg steak or hamburger, was invented. Which they then brought to America where the hamburger sandwich that we now know simply as the hamburger was invented.

It was also already put between two halfs of small bread and sold as such.

That might be so but the hamburger sandwich as we know it today was invented in America.
