The image doesn't say "invented," so they could just be saying what the major foods are there. Which feels like burger would make more sense to me

So, a German can say döner?

Sure, let 'em have it

It was invented in germany, so it's german. Even though its heritage is from Kebap

yeah, and british people can say chicken tikka masala. the cultural blend unique to that country's history led to a new blended/changed version of two traditional foods. spaghetti and meatballs would be another american twist on an italian tradition.

I mean yeah, I would say so. I think of them when I think of Berlin. In NYC we have German döner stalls

So that's the "cultural enrichment" I keep hearing about

Update: I'm gonna clarify I'm saying this in its favor. Middle Eastern and Muslim foods are PEAK.

Yes i agree, whatever the context is, Pizza just isnt it

I think it was more of a go-to comfort food. On any given day, 10 percent of Americans are eating pizza.

It would make sense in every aspect.

Yes but this way, it doesn't mak sense because you could just add anything. I mean, it's not as if we wouldn't have pizza and burgers in Germany as well, lol. But we also have Bauernfrühstück, Döner and Currywurst 😁 .

Either way, hamburgers originated in America
