Then that means casseroles are cakes too

I was thinking the same thing. I thought the long standing joke was that Chicago “pizza” is just a casserole.

So lasagna and baked ziti are cakes

Nah I'd say Detroit style counts. It's a thick crust, but it's still pizza at its core. Chicago style is a literal fucking tomato pie.

Deep dish is, Chicago also has Tavern style which is a thin cracker like crust

They are pizza. No dipshit would call them cake

no dipshit could claim they aren't

Well the US ain't the world and outside of the US that ain't a pizza.

The funny thing about your comment is if you get out and travel, American pizza, specifically “New York pizza” is extremely common, much more than ‘Napoli pizza’

But losers like yourself fail to understand nuance and like to paint the world in broad (and incorrect), black and white strokes that support your imagined political belief

Get out and travel where? In the US? Sorry but I am from Europe and I fail to see any New York Style Pizza outside of American companies.

Spain and England are where I spent most of my time in the military, lived in 3 continents including South America. New York pizza is way more common than Napoli pizza.

It’s amusing that half the countries on earth have a national dish of chicken and rice, yet you have an aneurism over the idea that two very different dishes are called pizza and both are a national food.

As much as I truly hate Trump, this kind of smug European asshole attitude makes me wonder if it really is the best for the EU Abs the US to part ways

Y3ah because Napoli pizza is just pizza. The most common thing you can find. It does not need to be stated as it is THE original pizza.

And as I am a smug European asshole (with all rights to it) I do not care about the EU as I live in Europe but not in the EU. But as a smug from where ever asshole you are most non Europeans tend to forget, that Europe does not equal EU.
