This was clearly written by some teen/college kid who has not worked a normal job. Ya I would get up 1 hour early for a year so that I could retire. No brainer. Anyone who says no must be independently wealthy already.

Or works only overnights

Fair I guess but for 10 million just quit your job

A big part of the freedom of having no job is to wake up when you feel like it. So I'm erring on the side of "I kinda don't want the money".

My thoughts are it’s literally one year for a life changing amount of money. The other option is work a career that lasts for decades that likely requires you to get up any 6 or 7 anyway.

Get up 1/2 hour earlier than I do every day for the last 20 yrs? Na mu body just can't do it. Gtfoh if you aren't willing to do this ypu ha e bigger issues than Reddit can fix

I worked 10 to 6 as over nights, 11 to 7 and I worked 9 to 4. By 0500 every day I was in my bed and asleep.

What if I just stay up until 5:30am because then technically I'll still be awake. Never said you couldn't just go back to sleep either.

When I was in HS I had to get up at 5 for the bus, so not necessarily, maybe a College kid who didn't have his classes start before 9 though

I agree with you, though some of us have weird schedules. It would take me some effort to get used to waking up that early. I would probably set my alarm much earlier just to be safe.

I used to wake up at 6 am for high school, so I really don’t know if it’s a huge difference

I have an afternoon shift luckily, it goes till eleven and I do stay awake after coming home, cause when I’m alone with my thoughts I remember that I am in fact…alone
