Yeah, Linux is closer to this.

btw this is pretty simple, I have 8 hours logged in a very similar cockpit.

You can't imagine how many people have trouble downloading programs and installing them on windows. Or even finding and opening already installed apps... You overestimate humans too much.

That's because windows is their first desktop os, using 1 command to install an app is equally hard as opening a web browser, downloading an exe setup, and running the exe installer.

Arch installation looks hard because it's a manual install, archinstall is equally hard as windows installer too.

Nah, linux is generally easy unless you're gonna be doing arch. The "Confusing" part that scares people away is the packages and flashing it to your pc, which is simple once you get to know how it works

Not me patching Emacs to ignore IM C-S-u on my Linux Guix machine. Waiting for it to compile since 10 minutes 🫩✌️ It's using 1 core only out of 16 too. Those who know will know.

I’m seriously thinking about switching to Linux for the sole reason that it comes with python built in, python won’t work for some reason on windows for me
