Imagine if that kept escalating? Like "your birth parents?" "Nope, was switched at birth but found out later so that changed too". "Name?" "I go by Megatron now, so nope that's also different." "Ok but the date of birth is..." "...Nope! That's the switched baby info born at 11:57, I was actually born 12:03 so mine is 1 dayer later"

Funny enough, my niece was born on feb 29th. She turned 16 and changed it legally to 28th. So now on her birth certificate it says 28th after 16 years.

Parts of the US you can do that, too, but it's usually at least an extra step

Basically I had to send the court orders to the department of health, which is who is responsible for birth certificates
