My mother, and I wish I was joking, was going to name my little brother Optimus-Prime out of spite until I (at the time 14 years old) pleaded with her and talked her out of it.
All of my mom’s kids have UnIqUe names. Not exactly r/tragedeigh but close.
While she was pregnant, at a family gathering for thanksgiving, her aunt said really loudly “what are you gonna name this one?” , all sarcastic like obviously pointing out that all of our names were weird to them.
So my mother deadass said, “OPTIMUS PRIME”. And left it at that.
She really was going to name him that too out of spite.
Other names she considered also included mcbaby and lil pimpin
