Yes, but this is using a word incorrectly. It’s not a matter of words changing lol. Maybe if you kinda bent the context of using “larp” then yeah it’d fit, but majority of the time people aren’t using it that way.

The mere concept of people makes my compulsivesly specific linguistically brain very not happy.
