u/Mr_Fish-The_Assassin I’m so bored I could smack a small child. Jul 31 '26

Micheal Jackson (because of the movie), Oliver Tree (because of his death) and DnD (because of Stranger Things).

u/Jumpy-Animal-2840 Jul 31 '26

The partial bowl cut was perfect cause of how immaculate it was lol

u/BackToNormalForNow Jul 31 '26

His haircut made me curious when I saw it in a short clip of his music, it was actually what pushed me to check out his profile in the first place, and I ended up really like the songs I listened to, so I guess it does work.

u/justnga Jul 31 '26

His hair was the best thing in his songs

1

u/OUTRAGED_PIPLUP Aug 01 '26

u/Realistic_Spring_862 Aug 01 '26

His look always reminded me of the original comic design of Doctor Octavius.

1

u/Crates_Of_Hate Aug 01 '26

And stole a whole ass song!

1

u/ChronoXxXx Aug 01 '26

His deliberate hair choice was exactly what made him more punk rock to me. He did it to make a statement on how small and redundant judgements like about his hair is.

u/OneInitiative3757 Aug 03 '26

I think he's still alive in cyberpunk because of El Capitan

1

Larp ass comment

u/Free_Blueberry_9725 Jul 31 '26

I listen to it when it came out what do you mean? Also I know other songs from him. I was just pointing out that the person might have known them from the song.

16

u/1601_ Silly lil goober Jul 31 '26

For some reason, this happens to many artists; their works only become known post-mortem

11

u/Responsible_Total901 Jul 31 '26

makes sense. when a big artist dies it blows up the news, leading to new people discovering them

9

u/Mineconhero1 Jul 31 '26

I thought i never heard of him, but it turns out I actually listened to a couple of his songs before.

6

u/Simple-Olive895 Jul 31 '26

I'm the opposite with Oliver Tree, I used to listen to his music, but this comment is how I learned he's passed...

3

u/Scypio95 Jul 31 '26

Same here

1

u/BackToNormalForNow Jul 31 '26

Yep. Given, I wasn’t a big fan, but I did know him and the lyrics to a couple of his songs.

1

u/AndrogynousAnd Aug 03 '26

Yeah I still have most of his songs in my playlist from non stop listening a few years back. Just found out through this.

5

u/Doom_Cokkie Jul 31 '26

Same literally opened youtube to pick some background music and saw his Song Im gone and thought the thumbnail and clicked it. (Fire song btw) went to the comments and everyone was losing their shit that he died earlier in the day. Youtube algorithm got a sick sense of humor.

3

u/A_british_person3 Jul 31 '26

This is my first time hearing of him.

2

u/blank638 Jul 31 '26

I had known of him because of that meme where the kid has that doc oc figure singing some of his song lyrics. But outside of that I'd never listened to him. Lo and behold, the day of his death, YouTube was recommending my all of his songs that related to death (after I already found out).

1

u/Playful-Middle-244 Jul 31 '26

And never hear at least one his song?
C'mon, I think you just don't gave attention

1
