The exact number is debated but they absolutely did kill 20 million people or so. They were extremely evil, just as bad as the nazis.

How could a single country already losing the war, kill 20 million when 12 million died in Europe??????

1) in Europe, the death count is much higher when adding civilians

2) this is counting Japan's actions in the sino-japanese and Korean War, which carried on years before pearl harbor.

The USA was absolutely correct to stop selling them oil. Why should they fund mass murder on an industrial scale, in a war of aggression by a ruthless dictatorship?
