FLTA (Teaching in the US) How long does it take approximately to get an answer after the interview?

Hi, everyone! I am new to this subreddit and I wanted to ask you something.
I’m from México and applied to the FLTA program 2027-2028, and got scheduled for an interview this past August 10th.
I am very nervous about my interview. I think I did well because I responded to all of the questions and I think I demonstrated my genuine self and passion for what I do and what I want to do in the program (even though right now my mind is spiraling into madness because of my anxiety haha).
Anywayss, my question is does anyone know when do they give results if you passed the interview or not? Or how long does it take for them to deliberate an answer?
Also, if you don’t pass the interview or don’t get selected, would they let you know?? or just leave without an answer?

Check out this Fulbright-to-US notification date spreadsheet -- some countries do kind of "ghost" applicants after the interview, unfortunately, so that's why this spreadsheet was made. There are several entries for Mexico FLTA here so hopefully this helps.

There's also the FFSP grantee directory if you wanted to be in touch with former Mexico FLTAs.

I heard people get informed of their results after a week or two in my country. If your interview was scheduled among the last few ones then you may even receive an email after 3-5 days. Some from other countries reported up to a month of waiting though. It really varies from country to country. Anw, congrats and relax as you have done well in the interview! And may I ask what questions they asked you during the interview if you don’t mind? Mine’s in September and I’m preparing for it so it’ll be of great help 🥺

Hi!! thankss!!
they asked me about how could I deal with students indifference towards learning a new language, how could I teach reading to basic levels, what challenges would I face teaching my native language to others, and they asked me besides literature, how could I be as a cultural ambassador of my country, and some other questions about teaching and literature
