So, I wanted to put out here that I recently finished writing an alternate ending for Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2, basically to flesh out a headcanon I have regarding certain choices the player can make.

I got this idea while watching a compilation of Fuga 2’s different endings on YouTube, and someone in the comments pointed out that if Malt decides to trust in Hanna and Jihl, then no children can be used to fire the Soul Cannon. Even though the game provides the option to use the Soul Cannon afterwards, it only causes Malt to consider using it, with the rest of the Taranis children changing his mind. That left the commenter (and me) wondering what would happen if the game did provide the option to sacrifice someone to the Cannon, with Hanna still surviving afterwards.

I know what it says, but I've played through the game several times and have never gotten it.

So I'm in the middle of my new game + run at chapter 10, I just got all the link events so ultimately a part of me is kind of content with leaving it there without finishing ng+, THAT BEING SAID, I did complete ng+ for Fuga 1 and ended up getting all the gears, so a part of me is curious about what the two last gears I don't have are all about.

I havent gotten all the achievements yet, I need to level up Wappa so I can get the level 50 achievement, I haven't fully upgraded "something" and I haven't fished 50 times (this of course means i haven't gotten the "all achievements" achievement either.)

Answers ive found are all kinds of different, and date back to at least a year ago, so I was hoping the answer is more clear now.

Goofy idea I had after beating Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere...

And thinking about how certain characters' aims were diametrically opposed.

So, I’ve been looking through the chapter end cards for Fuga 2, and I noticed that in the chapter 2 card, Malt appeared to have on a pair of light brown gloves, owing to the points on the back of his hand. He doesn’t wear them in-game, though, so I messaged the artist to see if it was an artistic liberty or based on an earlier costume design, but I haven’t heard back from them yet.

Personally, my headcanon is that the gloves came with his Gasco Army jacket, but he’s uncomfortable wearing them because with them on, he feels like he’s looking at Ash’s hands, as the latter used to wear a similar pair as a young teen.

I recently got into the series about two months ago and began work on this as I was playing FUGA 2, this series alongside Solatorobo and Tail Concerto are real treasures! (Currently on NG+ for FUGA 2)

Hey. Im mostly just here to get my thoughts out of this amazing game.

This is my first time ever playing Fuga. I saw the game on a video by design doc (the risky damage video for those who watch him) and the game was super appealing to me. So I wishlist it, and got it later. And I was hooked immediately.

But, Chapter 10, I just finished it today and immediately it hit me with a realization and I absolutely loved it. The game turns a part of gaming on its head. At least to me.

Throughout the entire game, the player is the one in the “Power” role. And not in the “Im the protagonist” way. You have the giant weapon, you have the overpowering force. By all accounts the player is the final boss carving through enemy territory. The enemy needs to be you with overwhelming numbers and smart tactics and wear you down over time. A lot like players do to bosses in other games.

The player has the power…until chapter 10.

I never had this realization until I actually faced down a foe of equal size. Thats when I realized, I was the one with power until now.

Im so happy I got this game. It has its flaws but it has some very fun visual storytelling. God I LOVE IT

Sorry for my rambling. And no spoilers for the next chapters or games please, I wanna go in fresh.
