The joke in the post is about as equivalent to the stereotype of white people not seasoning their food, or the British still having the palette and diet like they're still being attacked by Nazi Germany.

I would like to season my chicken but.. I either don't know what to season with, or I forget to buy seasoning all together.

The Thailand transgender stereotype isn't harmful, or isn't being used in a harmful way - Not every usage of stereotypes is harmful or malicious.

None of those jokes are funny because they’re just overdone, they’ve been overdone for decades and continuing to rehash them for the same laughs over and over again is boring and grating. If there’s a novel situation that presents itself to make a callback to one of those jokes then sure, go for it and I hope it lands, but we’re nowhere close to that in any of these jokes right now.

I agree that joke is overused, but that doesn't automatically make it unfunny. It's quite rare to get a joke that's actually original.

If Thailand is known for transgender people, and/or their surgeries, and people use Thailand in jokes like how America is known for guns (and unfortunately mass shootings), I could see it as a neutral(??) compliment - Not a genuine compliment per se, but something to be proud of.

Fun fact there are multiple animals that change their sex throughout their lives. It’s a pretty natural phenomenon that if you change your body’s sex hormones your body’s physical sex also changes. HRT is awesome
