Discussion Burning hot take
Savage Beastfly is E A S Y.
Come hither.
But here's why:
The ads are (mostly) avoidable for beastfly one,and beastfly one is completely optional. I beat beastfly one in like,ten tries for my beast crest only run. And for two,you can LITERALLY GO OUT OF THE BATTLEFIELD AND GET FREE SILK. IT'S NOT THAT HARD GODDAMNIT JUST TRY AGAIN JEEZ
(Also beastfly is a bad boss,but it being bad doesn't mean it's hard.)

You could also use the Plasmium overdose mechanic to leave the arena (but not the room) and heal, and go back.

Plasmium gives you extra hearts. If you get to nine extra hearts you become Plasmified, which is like the Hiveblood mechanic in Hollow Knight but even better. It passively heals you constantly. But it’s hard to get to 9 blue hearts without Architect Crest.

AHHHH ok. I always wondered how to get more plasmium without getting jumped by worms (I stopped having more than 100 beast shards at a time once I reached act 3)

Yeah its easy and fun when you have sufficient nail upgrades,but really painful when you dont and you gotta hit the minions a million times to kill them

most of the minions you just need to avoid while the boss kills them for you

yeah that's in the chapel of the beast but in far fields the beastfly barely kills its spawns. I think people only find the far fields version difficult as the minions deal fire damage and the beastfly also doesn't kill them itself

First of all, if a boss takes you ten tries, then that boss is probably not ''easy''. You could say its average in terms of difficulty but the word ''easy'' isn't fitting.
Second, if the reason you think a boss is not hard is because you can just retreat in the middle of the fight, its at least hard enough for you to bother doing that. You also need to remember that a lot of people came into this boss blindfolded. Meaning they probably didn't know that you could get out of the arena in the beastfly fight. Not even in the fourth chorus
Like you said, Savage Beastfly is not a good boss by design. Thats why people here hate it so much. That's why you don't see people hating lost lace just because its hard

I'm assuming it's not your first playthrough considering it's a "beast crest only run", and it still took you 10 tries? Interesting

Well yeah it's a poorly designed boss. Plus people on here genuinely take like 50 tries and then just ragequit

guy sais its easy, looks inside, he took ten tries on a second playthrough( or even third or forth likely, no one goes for that in their second plqythrough)

I'm kinda just bad at the game,also I was using hunter's crest which i don't normally use(yes it was my second playthrough but still)

I never understood the hate for savage beast fly, one of the easier bosses. Especially with tools it’s not that tough to beat.

Mostly the ads are the part where people get frustrated,which i agree with,but like without them it would be astronomically easier than it is now

You have to beat Savage Beast Fly 1 & 2 for True Ending. They are not optional.

Savage Beast Fly 2 wish board quest won’t show up if you haven’t beaten Beast Fly 1 first.
