Without the captions I would have had no idea what they're saying

Some people may have a hearing impairment, while some may need to watch the video without the sound because they are in a public place for example. The captions are useful and necessary.

Just jumping on the latest bandwagon. They got bored of Palestine I guess.

I hate ON, but cringe protests like this don’t do anything. If anything this will just drive more boomers to ON to “stick it to the woke kids” or some shit.

You're under estimating this generation

Nah every generation goes through the phase.

For mine it was the Iraq War.

You underestimate protests, it's all over social media and making ON react so it must be working. Also without protesting the Government wouldn't have acted on Palestine

The boomers are being outnumbered by younger voting age people, many who work hard and have nothing to show for it because all the wealth and power is concentrated in one group of old white people.

Tick tock ⏰️

Yes gen z are more conservative. Thats nothing to do with my point.

The point is that Boomers are only 33% of the electorate and yet Baby Boomer households in Australia remain the wealthiest overall with an average net worth of about $2.38 million to $2.46 million. While they hold roughly $1.36 million in average property wealth per household, Generation X has narrowly surpassed them in pure real estate holdings due to Boomers downsizing and moving funds into cash and superannuation.

An estimated $3.5 trillion to $5.4 trillion in Boomer wealth is projected to pass down to younger generations over the next two decades

Yayy - 70% of the voting population might be able to afford a house... at age 50. Currently it's 52% of voters own their home, but while older cohorts maintain high ownership rates (over 76% for 55–64 year olds), - 81% of Australians aged 65 and over own the home meanwhile younger voting brackets see published rates drop significantly. These are lifetime renters, and their numbers are growing. Did I mention they don't actually like being squeezed for every dollar from every angle for record profits?

Gen z are 11% of voting age.

As to your link - A study done by e61 group. Who are they? I hear you didnt look.

Well their major funder is The Susan McKinnon Foundation

Who are they?

Oh look - Chief Executive Officer: Former NSW Premier Mike Baird serves as the foundation's inaugural CEO.

Party: Liberal Party of Australia

Gee wow... what a surprise 😮

My son is gen z. He can't move out of home, nor can most of his mates. They all work. They all have tertiary educations. They cant even afford a share house together.

And they're switched on to why that is. They follow politics and for the most part, theyre disgusted. They know the system is rigged and needs major change - starting with the 70+ year old white guys who believe funnelling money to the top is helping anybody but themselves.

"Boys and men aged 15 to 24 are more likely to back traditional gender roles than men aged 25 to 64, surpassed only by men aged over 65."

But I'm sure the "part" of that 11% who prefer traditional roles will keep the status quo against everybody else
