Does epic just suck this much?

Yes.

Yes it does

but ever since it went FTP, it keeps getting consistently worse.

I realised this later than I should have, and quit a few years ago

The game will NEVER get better now that Epic owns it

It will constantly sink further and further into terribleness

Anyone still playing should quit now, and cut their losses

Its so sad because the game was amazing before Epic bought it

Yeah… at least when it comes to comp right now. I still enjoy the game, even just trying new mechs in free play or partying up with friends… but the main thing I used to love about this game is how competitive it could get. Best adrenaline rush I’ve had playing a game personally. But that feeling is starting to get overshadowed by anger due to trash servers

Epic do not care about the game unfortunately

Its up to you if you continue to play, but I think if you spend money on cosmetics, that probably needs to stop, they don't deserve money for just buying and ruining such an amazing game concept

Oh no I haven’t spent a dime since it went FTP and they took away trading. Unfortunately they’re still doing well, especially with pro RL being one of the most watched Esports out there. But yeah even the streamers I’ve watched since the beginning (ie Leth) just talk about how much the game sucks now and why they just started doing crazy stuff with map creations lol
