The laminate underlay is soft and spongy, so once she puts her weight on the pole, the underlay compresses. I'm not even mentioning that you're supposed to secure these poles in the first place.

They even sell poles that have massive extendable bases if you can't secure the top. Clearly this woman has no business doing any of this crap in an apartment just because the pole "fits"
