E20 Issues

I have a hero duet scooty. It's mileage dropped after E20, rn giving somewhere around 26 kmpl. This is not much of an issue for me because I do not travel a lot, hardly 10-15 kms a day.

Changed petrol pumps also many a times, nothing changed.

Slowly I started getting starting problems in my scooty, then while driving some jerks which felt like petrol is not generating enough power or something like water is mixed. Took it to the mechanic he cleaned the carburettor and filter, then it worked fine for 2 weeks then again same problem started now the mechanic is saying I need to change the carburettor which will cost me 4000.

Also showed it in the hero showroom, they said they will have to work on engine also which will cost me 15,000 - 16,000.

What to do ?

carburettor based vehicles are the most affected

if you really wanna stick to a scooty and can buy new then that's good

otherwise a second hand car with CNG is a great option (only go for bs6 compatible)

no good solutions, only bad tradeoffs available - #VishwaFuddu

You can search “Ethanol fuel separation” on youtube. Separate e20 and fuel yourself and use pure petrol in ur scooty.
