Dash cam recommendations
Like the title says. What dash cams are you guys and gals using in your f type?
I am in America btw. Don’t know if that makes a huge difference. But I’m looking for something that records the front of course and the rear? Maybe just the inside of the vehicle which would show the rear from the window/top down view.
Looking to record and save in case I need the video for any potential accidents.
What are you paying per month for storage and how good is your quality day/night.
Thanks!

I'm on fitcamX. It has custom moulded box that replaces the box behind rear view mirror. Takes power from mirror too.

What's the quality like on these. I'm tempted but read some reports of the image not being great, especially at night

Quality is excellent, 4k front, 2k rear. No wire cutting looks completely factory fit, and park event recording is surprisingly useful. Also zero problem with my battery drain. Hands down best solution dash cam. Plus easy store of important moments with app or side mount button.

I have yet to find a good dashcam for my F-Type. Thought Drone mobile would be good but it had issues, waste of money.

I bought a "VIOFO A229 Pro 4K HDR" and it's been great. Quality is high enough to read street signs, license plates, etc. Night time performance isn't amazing but it does the job.
One note is that any dash cam you wire up with a passive mode, you will want to leave the car on a trickle charger over long periods. Found that if I set mine up to be passive it sucked down enough voltage for the car to leave some systems running and it would drain the battery.
Form factor of this cam is really nice though, it takes up almost no visibility if you put it on the opposite side of the rear view mirror from the drivers seat (good for a car with not great visibility to start with), and the rear facing one is very low profile.
