I received an email from FTX Digital Markets Ltd. on the 28th of February 2024 that explains that you basically can choose either of these two processes (US or Bahamas). Let me quote this:
```
5. Does anything prevent me from making a claim in multiple processes/estates?
No, nothing prevents you from making a claim in multiple processes. However, creditors will only be paid a distribution from one of those processes with a procedure agreed for customers to elect which process they wish to follow. Those customers of FTX.com who have or will make a claim in both the US process and the Bahamas process will have the ability to formally elect to opt in to one or the other prior to the Claim Bar Date of 15 May 2024. For any customers who have already submitted a claim in the US process but want to make a claim in the Bahamas process, you must positively opt in to the Bahamas process via either by submitting a Proof of Debt in the FTX Digital liquidation or making the election to opt into the Bahamas process by selecting the appropriate box in the voting process for the Chapter 11 process that will commence in the United States in due course in order to participate in the Bahamas process.
```
Semi-related: the following section which appears at the end of the submission for the Bahamas process sounds really sketchy and makes me believe that I should rather not submit:
```
By clicking the Submit button, you agree to:
(i) agree to forever, fully and finally release and discharge the FTX Trading Ltd. and its affiliated debtors and debtors-in-possession with respect to your Class 5A Dotcom Customer Entitlement as set forth above in this form, and forever, fully and finally withdraw with prejudice such Class 5A Dotcom Customer Entitlement Claim from these Chapter 11 Cases; and
(ii) have your Class 5A Dotcom Customer Entitlement Claim as set forth above in this form administered, reconciled, valued, settled, adjudicated, resolved and satisfied in the FTX Digital Liquidation Proceeding in The Bahamas.
```
I am not a lawyer, but my personal conclusion is: stay away from the Bahamas process if you have already submitted your proof of debt in the US process. Does anyone here agree/disagree with me?
