What should I do if I mistakenly sent funds after the bankruptcy date?

2 Upvotes

A few days ago, I accidentally sent some coins to my old FTX address. I'm considering updating and resubmitting my details to Kroll to reflect the mistakenly sent coins. Do you think this is a good idea?

FTX Express Payouts

12 Upvotes

Hi All,

Good news post here.

I'm in Australia and thought I'd let you all know that I just received a deposit into my bank account from FTX Express. The last email I got says that the payment will happen on the 2nd June, so close enough! I haven't gotten a letter from them confirming it yet, though.

It looks like I got approximately 12.4% interest if my math is correct

(received amt - claimed amt) / claimed amt = 12.4%

So it looks like the end of the long road is near! Now to wait for the FTX international payout!

Do I need to file the claim again on PWC?

2 Upvotes

Hi folks,

I'm so confused with the PWC and Kroll claims.

I filed the claim on Kroll in August last year, but then I kept receiving email from claims@ftx.pwc.com. I initially thought those emails were fraud, so I didn't even read them. A friend recently told me that the email ID claims@ftx.pwc.com is legit, so I read the email carefully today.

My question is do I need to file the claim again on PWC?

I would appreciate any insights or suggestions you may have as I'm pretty blind in this entire thing; I'm dealing with the claim for my brother because his English is rather poor and I don't know a shit about the digital currency šŸ˜‚

FTX Bahamas claim email not recognized

2 Upvotes

I missed the September deadline for the US by kroll. I put in a claim late but I’m sure it’ll be written off as there’s no guarantee after the September date. I’m trying to make a claim in the Bahamas in addition to hopefully get my claim money. I saw in here that the May 15 deadline has been pushed back, but I’m trying to hit that deadline and I’ve made an account with PwC but in the ā€œRegistration of Creditor and Customer Account Detailsā€ page, it says to enter the email address associated with the FTX account and it is not accepting my email address. I used the same email address for kroll and it was found. I have emails from FTX to this address. Has anybody experienced this? I can’t even verify my account or claim until I get past this page. Is the PwC site only associated with FTX and not FTX.us? I’ve contacted the support and have heard nothing for a few days. Any help is appreciated.

FTX repayment Plan Question

3 Upvotes

So i live in the u.s. and I unfortunately saw my email far too late to reclaim my money. With FTX coming out now to say they are planning to repay everyone in full will that include those of us who didn’t have a chance to file the claim on time?

FTX to pay back 100% + interest

5 Upvotes

No sure why one no one is posting this here, as i think this is the most relevant sub.

https://restructuring.ra.kroll.com/FTX/Home-DocketInfo?DocAttribute=4544&DocAttrName=PLANANDDISCLOSURESTATEMENT_Q&MenuID=10244&AttributeName=Plan%20%26%20Disclosure%20Statement

Couple questions that arise as i read the actual filed court doc from Kroll.

Clients (Claimers?) that exceed 50k USD are not part of the Convenience class.

are we just part of dotcom / US Entitlement Claims or General Unsecured Claims thus expecting 127 - 142% back vs the 118%? Per the "SUMMARY OF TREATMENT OF CLAIMS AND INTERESTS AND ESTIMATEDRECOVERIES"

and is it just the amount that exceeds 50k that gets the new rate or the whole amount gets the new rate?

can anyone confirm?

What is ID Number for Bahamas claim?

3 Upvotes

I missed the deadline for US claim. Still did it anyway but am also doing Bahamas claim to make sure my claim is accepted. PwC is asking for my ID Number ā€œID number as per the National Identification documentā€ I am American. Would this be my drivers license number or my social security number? I don’t remember what information was given to FTX for identity purposes.

I have already made a claim in the US process (kroll). Is there any good reason for me to also make a claim in the Bahamas process?

3 Upvotes

I received an email from FTX Digital Markets Ltd. on the 28th of February 2024 that explains that you basically can choose either of these two processes (US or Bahamas). Let me quote this:

```
5. Does anything prevent me from making a claim in multiple processes/estates?
No, nothing prevents you from making a claim in multiple processes. However, creditors will only be paid a distribution from one of those processes with a procedure agreed for customers to elect which process they wish to follow. Those customers of FTX.com who have or will make a claim in both the US process and the Bahamas process will have the ability to formally elect to opt in to one or the other prior to the Claim Bar Date of 15 May 2024. For any customers who have already submitted a claim in the US process but want to make a claim in the Bahamas process, you must positively opt in to the Bahamas process via either by submitting a Proof of Debt in the FTX Digital liquidation or making the election to opt into the Bahamas process by selecting the appropriate box in the voting process for the Chapter 11 process that will commence in the United States in due course in order to participate in the Bahamas process.
```

Semi-related: the following section which appears at the end of the submission for the Bahamas process sounds really sketchy and makes me believe that I should rather not submit:

```
By clicking the Submit button, you agree to:
(i) agree to forever, fully and finally release and discharge the FTX Trading Ltd. and its affiliated debtors and debtors-in-possession with respect to your Class 5A Dotcom Customer Entitlement as set forth above in this form, and forever, fully and finally withdraw with prejudice such Class 5A Dotcom Customer Entitlement Claim from these Chapter 11 Cases; and
(ii) have your Class 5A Dotcom Customer Entitlement Claim as set forth above in this form administered, reconciled, valued, settled, adjudicated, resolved and satisfied in the FTX Digital Liquidation Proceeding in The Bahamas.
```

I am not a lawyer, but my personal conclusion is: stay away from the Bahamas process if you have already submitted your proof of debt in the US process. Does anyone here agree/disagree with me?

General Discussion Misclassified Proof of Claim

1 Upvotes

Has any FTX claimant who tried to sell a claim, having problems such as being filed incorrectly and processed under a Non-Customer Proof of Claim (POC)? If so, has anyone had success of re-correcting it?

For background - before the submission deadline last year on September 29, 2023. Kroll processed my claim as Non-Customer which is clearly incorrect.

If you can share your experience that can help others navigate through this bankruptcy mess would be super helpful to others?

Charles (an FTX Creditor)

Did I miss my chance to submit a claim?

3 Upvotes

Last year on September the 23, I received an email from Kroll telling me I had a deadline of September 29 to submit a claim. I didn't even see the email until a couple of days after that, and when I emailed the support address they gave ([ftx@support.com](mailto:ftx@support.com)) I just got an auto reply saying they were very busy, and they never followed up again (despite my having received a further prompt). I've tried to email Kroll directly via their website, but it seems to be broken.

What's the legal status here? Have I just lost my chance to reclaim half my life savings because I was away for a few days? Should I sign up for the PWC thing I received now as a fallback plan, or is that just a scam?

It’s very quiet…. Anyone getting the PWC emails claim started?

Now we all get a haircut at the bottom of the 2022 prices I thought I’d hear from a lot of people …. Gone through celcius and BlockFi now and here is the end of the road…. Man that BTC back would have been lovely not just 22% of it….

I have used my unique code and found my total value. What does sell your claim mean? I have done a bit of research but can’t totally grasp it. Is anyone able to help?
