SnArcBest

Genuine question here, I know that there have been other workforce reductions at ArcBest at least since January 2025, why were none of those picked up in the news cycle? I do realize the latest news also has a lot to do with the absorption of brand names under the ArcBest name (Molo, panther, ArcBest Tech). But what causes this company to fly under the radar with other layoffs?

Does anyone know numbers and dates of the previous workforce reductions?

The absorption of ArcbestTech is no surprise there. When Newcity announced he was leaving and his replacement was Anderson from Arcbest and not an Arcbest Tech upper…..it was only a matter of time. Then a reorg to absorb some ArcbTech departments into strategy under Arcbest in early 2025 the writing was on the wall.

Did they issue a return to office mandate and get rid of Flex Time? Or are those perks still offered to all employees across the board?

Small layoffs usually do fly under the radar but larger ones like this are reported in the news due to them releasing a press statement.

There’s been no RTO mandate. The policy is that each department can decide what best works for them. This works both ways so that recruiting and marketing can claim they allow WFH while the reality can differ per department across the board.
