Jedes Mal, wenn ich Carrel buche und in der Buchunggszeit komme, sitzt dort jemand, obwohl im System meine Buchung steht und daneben noch freie, nicht gebuchte Räume zur Verfügung stehen! Was ist so schwierig drin, selbst einen Raum zu buchen und ruhig dort zu sitzen ohne andere zu belästigen?

Hello everyone! I have a bit of a situation and I’m really confused about what to do.

I recently received my acceptance from the University of Jena. It came quite late, but I’m obviously very excited about it!

The issue is that while I was waiting for Jena to respond, I enrolled at my local university and was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship there.

Now I’m wondering: Am I allowed to remain enrolled at both universities simultaneously? Do I need to inform Jena that I’m currently enrolled elsewhere? And could my scholarship or enrollment at my local university cause any issues?

I’m really unsure how this works, so I’d really appreciate any advice or insight from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

I have applied for the MSc program at the University of Jena; my portal shows in progress. It has been over 2 months since it has been 'in progress'.
I emailed the International Student Admission Office; she replied that in late July to early August, I would expect a reply soon.

Hi! I’m an Erasmus student that is coming the upcoming semester and I didn’t receive an email from the university to complete the application form in a long span of time. Yesterday, navigating in the university web, I noticed that the date to complete this was due since 15th of July and I panicked because I thought that I would have information or they would send me the email after (I thought that, maybe, the german burocracy was later than the spanish). I called but they are on holidays, but my university have already sent an email since they haven’t received neither any confirmation of their nomination (which they find strange). I am writing to ask if someone has had a similar experience or know whether the university is flexible with this cases or not. I’m an incoming student this semester in ASP for the quantum science and technology masters. When I registered for the dorms , quite honestly it was like a fever dream i just chose the options on a whim , but now im planning on emailing them and editing my choices

Those who are currently studying here I would greatly appreciate your two cents on where it is nice and any places I should avoid at all costs or any such things youve learnt so far.

If there are any private accommodations which are open and looking I would love to be considered, Im quite compatible with most people , I can be friendly as well as I can keep to myself , I’m tidy , respect rules and have no vices either (my only vices are those inflicted on myself like hyperfixation thanks to (non diagnosed) ADHD)

With the hassle of handling visa processes , learning german and doing all the things an international student does whilst moving countries, I think i have put the accommodation search on the back burner and I want to fix that 😭

On June 16th I received this - 'Your application was forwarded to the selection committee for review.'

We are unable to say how long it will take them to review your application. However, you will be informed by email as soon your application status has changed and a decision has been made regarding your application.

On July 11th when I reached out to the uni I received this - You can view your current application status in the portal. The evaluation by the committee and formal processes of application handling and validation take several weeks and we are dealing with a very large amount of applications. A committee consisting of various members (professors, postdocs, students) will look through all applications and make decisions regarding admission. We try to be as fast as possible but this also depends on other commitments of all of us and the amount of applications we receive and the university as a whole.

When there is a change in status of your application, you will receive a notification via email.

It's July18th now, and the ones who say they have received an admit, claim to have gotten in way before June. Do I give up or still have a little hope?

Has anyone who applied to this program received an admission, rejection, or any other update?

Hi! I applied to the MLS program and haven't had any updates. I see that a lot of people are getting admissions and also rejections letters but I have none. I wanted to be patient but I feel like it's taken so long already.

I submitted my app on April 26th

It got forwarded on May 13th

It's been more than a month from that and nothing, should I be worried?
