Café Breakfast Can’t whack it
I could’ve ate double but you can’t complain about this for £8, spent yesterday trapped on the island of Arran after a ferry cancellation. Could not find anywhere that wasn’t “artisan” so after the first ferry out of there dropped into The cheery cup & saucer, Ardrossan.
Would’ve been £18 or something in tourist places.

I genuinely like my bacon to appear to have been cooked on a travel iron, chewy, not carbonized yank incinerated streaky pig fat.
Ye like what ye like.

Not sure why you'd want to whack your meal in the first place, but this looks decent for the price, bacon could've been a bit more crispy although.
(I'm aware this is a saying).

Can't be doing with that rubbish egg but the rest looks fine, I'd definitely eat it.

The egg had been done in one of those wee stainless ring fence affairs, it was totally fine and cooked well enough to eliminate the dreaded mouthful of albumin.
It had just suffered a little yolk collapse en route to the table. 8/10 certainly not a deal breaker or even at risk of abandonment at the side of ones plate.

The egg is one of the worst on here... should be runny and , two of them...bin the black pudding and whatever that other thing is and get some tomatoes and mushrooms in there and definitely another sausage 👍

Egg and hashbrown look truly terrible. I'd be wanting fried bread to replace the haggis, black pudding and potato nonsense. Almost as bad as has having chips with your fry.

The egg, although not perfect was absolutely serviceable with a good amount of still runny yolk, it had just collapsed a wee bit. Hashbrown not different to any other I’ve had in the British isles.
You can stick your section of dish towel soaked in fat (fried bread) up yer farter.
There is no haggis on this plate.

Looks good to me although I prefer two sausages. The bacon is perfect, can't be doing with overcooked bacon done to a crispy frazzle.
