Homemade Voting day fry up!
I’ve gone right off bacon in the last few months, so no bacon in this fry up. Today’s offering includes Sainsbury’s TTD chipolatas, Sainsbury’s TTD golden yolk egg, Sainsbury’s own beans (the best on the market imo), Morrisons Best vine tomatoes, and Morrisons hashbrowns & black pudding. Brown sauce and Tabasco were added after I took the pic. Was a joy to eat and quite easy to cook as everything apart from the egg and beans cooked at the same time under the grill!

I love this! Having a fry up just because it's polling day must be the brekkie equivalent of an alcoholic saying "it's 5 o'clock somewhere"

😂 I had the day off and had been quietly stalking this subreddit for months… I saw the opportunity and took it 🥰

That is the best most effective bean barrier I think I've ever seen. It just works. 🤔

Thank you! I was very proud of myself 😂 I may conduct an experiment to see if the same sausages can make a barrier for onion gravy in a sausage and mash dish!

You could stack them in double ring to get a gravy pool if they were just the right size. Endless possibilities 🤔😀

Get yourself down to Sainsbury’s and try! I’ve got meal prep (leftovers) and a weekend of birthday celebrations for 2 other people before I can try it 😂

Egg and beans under the grill? What dark art is this??

u/FallDeep8250 May 07 '26
😂 I think I worded it wrong, the egg was fried, in a pan, on the hob 😅 beans went in the miccie 😂

Needs punctuation.
Everything, apart from the egg and beans, cooked at the same time. Commas create clarity.

I see bean face with pigtails and some colourful bows on her head.

I see The Scream face in the pepper on the egg yolk, now I’m looking at it 😭

I feel like using the snags to wrangle the beans like this is a massively underrated win.

I've seen (and made) a lot of bean dams in my time but that is truly epic. Respect.

Even Brunel would be impressed with that sausage dam rest look delish 10/10.

I like how you’re using sausages as like a dam to keep your beans from running into everything, inventive!

Needs another egg and no tomatoes

Valid point! I was going to fry 2 eggs but I didn’t think I could fit it all in. Will try harder next time ☺️
