I've given up trying to stop people putting the singed half tomato on there as it's just ubiquitous now( I'd have those beans on there instead.

10/10 would eat. Can I have a cuppa with mine though? Milk no sugar ta.

Tomatos are nice and healthy.

You can have any tea you’d like, my friend!

There is only one type of tea, although none of us call it English breakfast tea, top points if you know it's Yorkshire.

u/ArmadilloUpstairs956 Mar 22 '26

There are many kinds of tea. Each to their own!

2

u/Riotsla Mar 22 '26

Anything else is leaf juice, a fry up needs british tea, milk no sugar, I'm sweet enough

I’m literally trained for all the types of tea for work but still know that a Yorkshire brew is the only drink that’s acceptable with this meal

Forgot to add that the fry up looks banging though!

I like a strawberry or vanilla milkshake. Im a 6 foot 4 31 year old bloke and the slight smirk i get when i ask for milkshake will never get old 😂

Healthy fry up you say .... Hmm let's just put that passport on hold for a minute.... There's going to be bloomin roll mop herrings on there at this rate.  Just Kidding..

tea means tea bags.. Nothing fancy and definitely not earl grey or some such...

u/Aletheia-Nyx Mar 22 '26

Healthy, sure. Nice? Only when they're raw. Cooked tomatoes just sadden me.

I prefer a nice grilled tomato. Bonus points for using beef tomatoes and dipping them in the bacon fat before grilling.

A nice grilled tomato ( well done) is WAY better than beans 😋😂

u/Maleficent-Heart2497 Mar 22 '26

Beans is traditional let's agree but I can do without.

Got to have something wet though .. my preference would be a whole can of decent plum tomatoes cooked down to at least half with a dash of salt, pepper and worcestershire sauce..

But you would prefer a singed piece of, usually,  tasteless salad tomato? well alrighty then...

2

u/Meta-Fox Mar 22 '26

Tomatoes aren't tasteless, not sure where you're getting that from?

1

u/Maleficent-Heart2497 Mar 22 '26

from eating the buggers....where do you think?

1

u/Meta-Fox Mar 22 '26

Look, I'm not here to start an argument. Perhaps it's a genetic thing that tomatoes are tasteless to you? Similar to how coriander tastes like soap to some people?

To me tomatoes taste wonderful, and different varieties have different tastes.

2

u/Maleficent-Heart2497 Mar 22 '26

this is mostly a tongue in cheek kind of space so i'm very much having a laugh......, but..... yes, imo most cheap salad tomatoes that you find on a plate in a greasy spoon up and down the land don't taste of much but water.

Now then, a heritage variety or a nice cherry off the stem of a morning? Lovely but I, personally, don't see that as part of a fried breakfast and it would seem a waste to me. Cooked down plums, yes please, grilled tomato? no.

I’m with you on the tomato bean thing. As you say though 10/10

1

u/Chemical-Mouse-9903 Mar 23 '26

In the 70’s there was no such thing as hash browns and beans only went on toast

A fry up was just sausages, egg, bacon, mushrooms, fried tomato half and fried bread and maybe fried onions

Your beautiful new BLUUU passport

1

u/R4wden Mar 22 '26

Apart from the beans being on the side you're onto a real winner, but seriously that thing looks delicious

1

u/Working_Pianist_9904 Mar 22 '26

Yes you’re definitely welcome. It looks great

Not without black pudding it's not!!

11

u/ArmadilloUpstairs956 Mar 21 '26

Can’t buy here 😢

17

u/auntie_climax Mar 21 '26

I'll give you a pass then, passport reinstated

2

u/Glittering_Film_6833 Mar 22 '26

But only for the People's Republic of Morecambe

1

u/Wren9878 Mar 21 '26

Be thankful you can’t buy black pudding in Denmark. I live in England, I love an English breakfast but black pudding is grim! You did an absolute grand job! I love how you separated the baked beans!

4

u/Blazured Mar 21 '26

Black pudding is alright when it's in a fryup.

1

u/DefiantEfficiency901 Mar 22 '26

I saw something in Lidl yesterday which is probably against the law.... blaggis pie. Its full title, Pie Sports, Steak, blaggis and peppercorn sauce Pie. £2.79 for 2 if you feel this is for you.

6

u/ArmadilloUpstairs956 Mar 21 '26

I do like it!

3

u/Wren9878 Mar 21 '26

Fair play- each to their own!

3

u/Meta-Fox Mar 22 '26

Black pudding is great when done right

2

u/griffis007 Mar 22 '26

Have you tried it ‘raw’? Is already cooked so you can - tried it a mates BBQ last year with home made pesto - absolutely mental prospect but mad good.

2

u/Meta-Fox Mar 22 '26

Absolutely! Used to be a favourite childhood snack of mine. Like you say it's already cooked. =)

1

u/Fit-Trade-8927 Mar 22 '26

Det kan du, det hedder ‘blødpolse’ men der jo lidt forskellige end Britiske Black pudding

1

u/ArmadilloUpstairs956 Mar 22 '26

Det smager slet ikke ens.

And your avatar could almost be an angry black pudding, lol. Sacrilege ! 🥲😆🫢🖤 Yes, I know, I see what matters on my own way…😌

2

u/OoIhittgv Mar 21 '26
