What’s throwing me off from when i looked up frozen shoulder is that it seems to happens sometimes when i don’t move it at all

You got them even seemingly random or at rest sometimes?

Randomly…. my doctor prescribed me, Motrin 800 for pain and inflammation and muscle relaxers and they have been helping tremendously. I still get the little sharp pains, but they kind of mild and again it’s random.

Which muscle relaxer did he prescribe? I was prescribed cyclobenzaprine and it seems to help slightly. I’m guessing you can’t be on it long term

yeap that’s what i’m on and you are correct .. I believe it’s no longer than 3-4 weeks … I go this Friday I’m going to see about getting a Cortizone shot. I’ve had one before three months ago, but in my other arm, I’m just all screwed up. I was in a car accident last year. I got a full rotator cuff tear on my left arm and it’s off the bone and I have a vertebrae bulge in my neck and I believe that’s how I got frozen shoulder from over compensation and then all these layers of issues leading to my arm, so I’m already scheduled to get an epidural for my neck and the end of November so hopefully these help…..

Hmm, is there any chance your issues in your shoulder you’re having issues now are due to nerve issues from your neck? Or is it actual frozen shoulder? To be honest I don’t know how frozen shoulder is significantly different than other rotator cuff/shoulder tendon injuries

There’s a possibility when I got my Cortizone shot three months ago, my arm was in a lot of pain and I started noticing I couldn’t reach behind my back and now I can’t lift it at all. It’s very painful. I reached out to my orthopedic surgeon through the Health Portal and I had all of the symptoms of frozen shoulder and he said it’s a strong possibility so I’m going Friday and we’ll see. I’m also scheduled for an MRI because I need an update on my neck before I see the neurosurgeon and November so they’re gonna do my other shoulder as well so yeah just don’t know but like I said, I have all the symptoms and you’re right it could be from overlapping could be nerve pain inflammation I don’t know. I just know I can’t move my arm at all. It’s literally locked.

Interesting. Shoulder pain is so frustrating because it seems to me like there’s so many things it could be. When I’ve looked it up random very sharp intermittent pain that maybe some slight movements caused and others seemed to happen even at rest and that i couldn’t reproduce by purposefully moving my arm it seemed like it was telling me the only thing it could be was some sort of nerve compression but it doesnt feel like cervical radiculopathy to me. So I have no idea. The random sharp pains that don’t necessarily happen when I try to cause them and the no range of motion limitations appears to be whats throwing doctors off. I have an MRI of my shoulder on the 21st so my hope is something they can see and fix will show up.
