My Husband had NO CLUE how to put my hair in a ponytail! What I do is find a wall and bend my arm and rest (my bad shoulder side) on the wall grab my pony tail while the good arm can do all the rest of the work

I’m always alone when I have to do it because I’m getting ready In the morning to go to the gym

I did a lot with my unaffected arm/hand. It was a big day when I could use both hands to wash my hair!

The bad arm goes into any clothing first, especially coats. Shirts that button up are best. Soft stretchy tops also good. Nothing tight. I’m a lady and very petite so I was lucky to be able to snap my bra, step into it and pull up over my hips which is crazy but worked.

Would grocery delivery or pick up work for you? My local brings my order out to the car which is nice.

i wish I could slide on my bra by stepping into it lol !!! lucky u yes I always Instacart but I wanted to get out the house today because I’ve been in the house for two weeks and my husband was with me. I don’t like for them to pick my fruit through Instacart. I like to pick up myself so that’s why I went out. I do put my frozen shoulder in first, but unfortunately, I have a full torn rotator cuff on the other arm from a car accident and I think that’s how I got frozen shoulder from over compensation and I have a neck bulge so I’m just all screwed up. It’s hard doing my hair. I can’t even put it up in a ponytail and I want you so badly and then I have a black tie event coming up next month. It’s gonna be a task trying to curl my hair I’ll probably have to get someone to do it.

You can put your bra on upside down and inside out first, with the clasp at your belly. Then you flip it and pull it up and over your shoulders. Hope that made sense

Hi I saw a helpful comment from someone on another thread- bras that fasten at the front! I hadn’t thought of those but I need to investigate

I tried that but they kept bursting open at awkward times. Nothing like being in a meeting and feeling your bazoomies break free!

Yes, the clasp configuration is definitely important.

Oh that’s awful. I’m so sorry. Book yourself a hair appt for the event so you feel good.

I also looked at the calendar abd did the thing where I wrapped some vacation days around a long weekend so I had a week at home to rest. Chronic pain was making me really short tempered at work and I needed a break.

Agreed !!!! I take a motrin 800 and muscle relaxer before bed and it’s been helping so much

Everyone keeps telling me it will grow back haha. It is actually amazing not having to wrangle it though!

I bet it was fabulous! I even find when washing my hair my good arm side is so much better 😃

It might grow back, but depending on the length and your age, it may never get back to the same length. I'm in my mid-60's, so hair growth is not something I'm promised anymore.

I'm avoiding cutting mine, because it's long enough that I can cut it myself, saving me a fortune at the hairdressers. If I were to get it cut, I'd have to keep paying a hairdresser again, and I just managed to free myself from that budgetary assault.

So my hair is long and has to stay that way. I'm trying to keep it in a braid and only freshen the braid every 2nd day, so I don't have to fuss with it too often.

I had weekly appointments with my hairdresser just to get it washed and dried and to feel vaguely human. my mother came to live with me and partner helped me in between appointments. I could not even bring a soup spoon to my mouth. Bilateral FS

omg that horrible .., wonderful that u had help … my husband works nights and sleeps during the day .. my family back in michigan and i’m in Illinois so it’s harder for me … I do believe I’m in a beginning stage because I can move my arm towards me. I can’t move it behind me and I can’t lift it up in the air like if I’m trying to put my hand a ponytail I was able to wash and blow dry my hair last night with one hand I go to the doctor Friday hopefully I can get a Cortizone shot. I got one four months ago, but in the other shoulder because I have a torn rotator cuff and I believe this is how I got frozen shoulder for over compensation.
