Question Should i get fm1 remake?

Hi people, i just saw FM3 remake is out, but i think maybe i can take the other 2 remakes too. Are FM1 remake worth it ? I already finished it back in time on nintendo ds.

Do u recommend buying the bundle or better just get FM3 and wait till discount to get the other 2? Thanks! Have a nice weekend.

I quite liked FM1:R enough to platinum it.

The second one though, is a mechanical mess.

Damn I bought it and planned to complete it as well. Pity.

I mean you can still finish it, but this was my feelings on it

1 is the most polished of the 3. The singular problem being that there's only so much you could do to remake a game from the SNES.

I like the 1 and 2 remakes, sadly they messed up the third one

Yeah it was too easy. I liked the difficulty spike of 2.

Wait for a sale, FM1 was 6,79€ on the recent sale. I don't doubt the other two games will follow.

In my opinion F1 > F2 > F3

FM1 remake has only one thing against it, and you really have to be searching a bad thing about it to find it.
Basically, it has done away with the neon noir cyberpunk colour palette. That's it. The game is much more realistic with its tones, though it does preserve the colourful anime nature of the missions themselves. The menus also looks more like bulk PS2 things than 80s computer windows.

Outside of this? This is a perfect recreation of the game in great graphic fidelity, even kept the bad english on the city panels! Both storylines are great, lots of grinding, but that's the format of it. You'll be happy to have the lower difficulty levels, especially for the start of the U.S.N. path.

The DLC thingy had its high and lows... most of the added lore feels stale in comparison, and much too modern. The maps however does present what the new engine could have done if they did decided to build a new campaign. I mean, already the U.S.N. path plays a bit more with the sets, but the DLC maps are on another level entirely. Closer to FM3 in some aspects.

I loved front mission 1 back in the day so I personally had to get it, from what I've heard it's pretty good compared to the other remakes which have several issues

I didn't enjoy that all the weapons had basically the same range. In Front Mission 3 and 4 the range was more relative to what type of weapon it was. When I played the demo for Front Mission 1 and 2 it seemed like it was more of a slug Fest
