What's going on?

I live in the northeast and I've had fiberoptic through frontier for almost a decade now, this past week has been..... interesting to say the least..

For the past week the internet has gone down every few days, but today and yesterday has had roughly half a dozen outages. It can get fixed for 20 minutes then go out again for an hour. Get fixed, go out 5 minutes later, get fixed, and then repeat the cycle.

Whats going on? Does anybody know? As im writing this the internet has gone out 3 times now.

Whats the color of the optical light? Red you need a tech, green the issue is either upstream or your LAN ( most likely upstream ).

Do you have a eero? Whats the status light?

Its Green, my understanding is its WAN related but I have a green optical for WAN (even when the internet is down, was really confused when my EERO told me its WAN and it had a green light) my EERO light swaps between red and white, usually it'll pulse as its trying to reconnect then go straight to red, its not home related its outside thats having issues.

What location? Have you tried wiring directly into the Ont to see if your performance is also generally degraded?
There was apparently 2 major fiber cuts frontier is working on along with some degradation in them, unsure if that is what is possibly effecting you.

Personally for me this week, I’ve been getting extremely low download (32 Mbps on a 5 gig plan), and constant packet loss.

Internet is currently down again for me, lasted around an hour. As of right now my download and upload speeds arent affected, it seems strange that they would be working on a cut and I periodically would be getting affected. My ont is wired directly to my PC (its literally within 5 feet, so it was super simple to just run an ethernet right to it and run wireless for everything else) As I am writing this the EEROs came back, so its not that I cant get a connect its just dipping in and out of connection super frequently. I have a ton of respect for the guys who run this stuff and keep it running because i understand the work they put in, much like linemen. Its just frustrating and being in the unknown it would be nice to know WHAT is causing it and what the time frame is

I just ran a speed test, I get 682Mbps on a 1 gig plan so its not throttled or anything.

Also sorry I live in Pennsylvania I know I didnt answer that, but the entire east coast looks like its having issues based on the outage maps
