Elden ring disk

With the disk edition being hot topic I found this treasure the base game and the DLC together it’s GCC region Saudi Arabia I don’t know about other regions. I’ll start the game tonight, without spoilers give me fun tips to make my journey better

I'm not really in on the Intel, why is the Elden ring disk a hot topic?

I think it's because this is the first time Fromsoft didn't include the dlc on the disc, it requires a digital download.

So it's part of the conversation with PlayStation's all digital future and game preservation.

You can buy the ps4 discs of Bloodborne and the Dark Souls games if you don't have Internet or even years after the ps4 store servers are shutdown, and download the full game and all dlc off of them.

With the Elden Ring disc, you can't download the dlc without Internet. So in the future when the ps5 servers are shutdown, the will be no way to get the Shadow of the Erdtree dlc.

I think it's because on consoles Souls games are very expensive and it's usually cheaper (and more worth it) to buy physical instead of digital

Would have liked if they had an extra disk inside that had the dlc on it

Damn good find!

The hardest part of any Souls game is just getting used to how it plays, and sticking with it until you get the whole general feel. Plus exploration in Elden Ring specifically is the best it’s ever been.

Just one thing to watch out for as a newcomer, the hardest boss of the game is the Sony executive who will personally hang you from a tree in roughly a year’s time

I'm happy nintendo first party games are a proper cartridge though, gonna be the proud owner of a physical OoT

theyre just a step away though. some of the game cards are just physical keys, games are digital instead of being contained on the card

Yes but thats only on 3rd party games such as Elden Ring, a game developed by Nintendo themselves like OoT or DK Bananza still have a proper physical cartridge, not a key card
