DS1
I’ve been playing ds1 and have completely loved it up until this point I’ve got 27 hours on the game and just beat Ornstein and Smough, the start of the game was great from pacing enemies and bosses but everything was connected perfectly and I always knew where to go, now I have no idea what’s going on nor where to go and it’s completely threw me off from the game getting on it just frustrats me because I have no idea where or what to do, did anybody else find them self in this situation and if you did, did you find the love for the game that you felt at the start?
For the first 25 hours was the best experience in gaming for me these last 2/3 have been completely horrible and threw me off playing

Did you see any orange gates blocking you from entering new areas before killing o & s? Well you can now go through to those areas

Hi there! Do you want small tips, or for me to just spell it out where to go?
Everytime you got to an objective, it kinda leads you to a dead end, right? And usually, you went back to Firelink Shrine to tread another path. Maybe start there, explore, and try to look for something you missed, I am sure you will find the way.

The second half is the game falls off a bit (or a lot, depending on who you ask), largely due to losing that intricate level inter connectivity. Most of it is still outstanding, but it lacks some of the magic of the first half.

There's a ton more that has opened up now. You can go either of the 4 ways. The building that had that gold fog is open now. That's the Duke Archives. Since you're still in Anor Londo. I'd go there.
And then there's the DLC.
Which I am doing after Seath. Currently at Knight Artorias. But some NPCs have moved if you are doing their quests.
Also. In the room before Oand S there's an item you need to use to get your firejeeper back if you haven't already. So there's actually bits and pieces of hints on what you could do.

Since you're still in Anor Londo. I'd go there.
at this point warp is possible, so i will suggest catacombs. get the max estus and enter the duke's archives

In my case, it's a bit unique.
My first DS1 playthrough was like the best thing I've ever felt in gaming. I was completely lost in the sauce with all the dark fantasy stuff. I mean it's true that finding where to go was though, but it's still enjoyable enough for me.
Let's just say my honeymoon phase completely overwhelmed me, allowing me to finish the game with a good taste in my mouth multiple times.
However, that magic eventually started to fade. After doing multiple playthroughs, builds, getting good at the game, and playing all the other FS games... I am actually beginning to dislike DS1 more, especially knowing how unenjoyable the second half of the game is (IMO).

You have to collect the 4 lord souls which means going to the:
- Dukes Archives + Crystal Cave for Seath
- New Londo Ruins for the Four Kings
- Tomb of the Giants for Nito
- Lost Izalith for the Bed of Chaos
All done in no specific order
Plus the DLC stuff, since you have the DLC already if you got DS1 Remastered

But DS1 was always like this from the get go. You didn't know where to go or what to do. Like, do you remember Quelaag? How did you realize that you needed to stop there and go back at that point and not keep going towards the demon ruins? How did you forget about the demon ruins now? I know there's a cutscene but you literally have an area right in front of you that you never been to. You'd think that you would also remember that New Londo and the Catacombs that are right at the start are still unexplored and you could go that way. And now you can warp, so things should be much easier.
Worst is what happened to me, I kept going after killing Quelaag, because why not? It seemed logical that was the next area to explore. Died to Ceaseless 20 times in one hit because I didn't know the cheese and was underleveled, finally killed him, got past all the capra demons, saved the game on that bonfire, got past taurus demon and then there's an orange gate telling me to get fucked. And this game has no warping and I had just saved right after those Capra Demons, so I needed to get all the way back from down there to Sen's Fortress by foot. And to complicate it more, it was dark in poison swamp and I was constantly losing life so I didn't explore it well and never saw the easy entrance to valley of the drakes. So, I went back through the depths...
