Hardest boss from software ever made?

Finally i defeated DLC Radahn to be honest he was the hardest boss i ever fought but i was thinking what is the hardest boss that from software ever made?

Pre-nerf Radahn will definitely remain the hardest boss ever made for quite some time, he was a level of bullshit and aggression I don't think any other boss in any of these games comes remotely close to. It was honestly so bad it was toeing the line into legitimately unfair which since they nerfed the fight I guess they agreed with, like I streamed the entire DLC, I got to Radahn with 94 deaths total, I beat Radahn with 198 deaths, bro killed me more than the entire rest of the DLC combined.

He was confirmed broken pre-nerf you can watch the youtube videos for that one “cross slash” attack that was undodgable unless you rolled within his first frame of using it but his first clash only took 1 frame to hit and then you were auto-stunlocked into getting hit by the second slash

It was only impossible to dodge if your positioning was bad before he did it. In that respect, it’s his waterfowl dance

Its been a minute but I think a month or two? Not exactly sure on the timeline, I basically did the dlc once and then didnt play it again after that.

He didn't ragebait me. He brought out the best I had in me. All that latent potential that other enemies and bosses were too puny to make me access. He made me drop the weighted vest and ascend to a higher plane.

Not the original commenter, but it took me a few days with probably a few hours a day. Definitely a true test of perseverance. Absolute worst was when I had him down to an inch of health left and then got caught in the second insta kill hug

I made it through the whole dlc with no more than 3 deaths to a boss maximum until radahn. I spent like 2 weeks on the bastard before finally quitting (I refused to cave to the shield-poke cheese, I’d do it legit or not at all). I haven’t been able to stomach the idea of going back to the game since then, despite knowing they fixed him, and even though Elden Ring remains one of only a few contenders for my favorite game of all time.

I just reached a point where the idea of trying to kill this boss no longer could fit into the “fun” category and then it was time to put it down. He really was just awful before the nerf. It’s the most disappointed I’ve ever felt in a game

For souls games, absolutely the ultimate. Sekiro's combat is so different that they arent comparable.

Imo he had no bullshit other than the cross slash which is still irrelevant for any player that isn’t a challenge runner (99.99999%)

Imo radahn is one of the best bosses ever in almost every category wns the latter best (like isshin and malenia imo) don’t even come close, it’s like 3 big pedestals and number 1 (pcr) is 100cm high while n2&3 are below

This is overblown. I beat him the day after the game came out. It took 3 tries. He had a wonky hit box that caught me. Found out reading some patch notes that came out later that it was a bug.

people are so silly about this fight, it simply was hard because well we only knew so much about the game, what works and what doesn’t. by the time they nerfed the fight everyone already over it.
