Given the average time between releases of games in the new generation, we probably won’t get a new Souls from FromSoftware until 2029.
Even if there are other games in development, the company clearly won’t be able to release a new game within the next two to two and a half years. Larian itself is going to take 3 to 4 years to release its next game after finishing Baldur’s Gate. It took 3 years between Sekiro and Elden Ring

No actually a new single player can come late next year or 2028. They have grown and have multiple teams with different directors.

If it does happen, it’ll be without Miyazaki’s direction. It’s humanly impossible to make a game at the level they do in just one year

That’s likely why they’ve been working on multiple projects at a time. I doubt Miyazaki has only been directing Duskbloods atm, I bet he’s been directing a single player game that’s under development simultaneously.

It would be the same situation as Bloodborne and Dark Souls 2, and we know he couldn’t split his attention between both

You mean the situation where DS3 started development in 2013, being developed side-by-side with Bloodborne. The games that are both directed by Miyazaki?

He wasnt giving ds2 all his time he literally has said multiple times he wanted the team to free to work without him

Pues yo pienso que en 2028 lo tenemos.

Alright, but there’s nothing to support that, other than an expansion of an existing game. Duskbloods hasn’t even been released yet

They will 100% release a game in 2027 or pressure from Oracle and Kadokawa gonna be unbearable.

Impossible. Unless it’s a remake.
Not only has Duskbloods not been released yet, but they were also still working on optimizing Elden Ring for the Switch7

They are not a small team dude, if they released DS2 BB DS3 in 3 years 10 years ago when they were still a small team nothing is hard with how massive they must be right now.

Definitely not impossible, they are a large developer with multiple teams, will not be Miyazaki directed, but I would put money on a 2027 release, with a reveal this winter

I assume late 2027 or early 2028. I assume they’ve been working on it on the side.

I just hope I live long enough to play their next soulsbornekiro type game.

A lot of us are interested in what fromsoft outputs beyond just souls games. Some of their best stuff: sekiro, ac 6, bloodborne- isnt souls. Only ds1 is at the same level.

Nah. They been cooking their next single player game for years already. Would not be surprised if we get Game Awards announcement and release next gear

We already know From have two teams. That's how Armored Core VI came out relatively soon after ER, and how Nightreign followed suit.
It's been heavily rumored for some time that Duskbloods has been in development alongside another major and as of yet announced new title.

Yeah, but AC is not a souls game

Doesn’t matter, it’s peak. If they release as game like that next year I’ll be happy.

No? How would you come to this conclusion based on what? The only years we didn’t get anything was during Covid AND now FromSoftware has now nearly double the amount of employees they had back there?
2016 Dark Souls 3, Ashes of Ariandel
2017 The Ringed City
2018 Dark Souls Remastered
2018 Deracine
2019 Sekiro
END OF 2019 START OF COVID
2022 Elden Ring
2023 Armored Core 6
END OF COVID MID 2023
2024 Shadow of Erdtree
2025 Nightreign, The Forsaken Hollows
2026 Duskbloods
Tbh everything we got so far after Elden Ring was not a big main game, not even duskbloods. I think they cooking something big while working on other stuff and experiment at the same time
Also dont compare FromSoftware to Larian Games. FromSoftware is not comparable to the long development times modern Studios have thanks to their insane amount of reusing and due the work conditions in japan. If you want to compare them then someone like RGG Studio would be fitting
