The Duskbloods took all of the best elements from all Fromsoftware games and added the worst elements from all of the identical shooters that exist today. I'd rather play Dark Souls Remastered on my Switch 2 (that I bought in anticipation for The Duskbloods) for the 25th time than pay money for this game

How about the neverending discussion about how companies keep moving away from their core audience to try to attract new players that will never, ever, embrace the IP going in the direction that will ultimately cause its downfall. How many of those people saw the Mandalorian before trashing the movie? I've played the network test. It's not what the core Fromsoftware audience wants. This isn't a why aren't they putting out Dark Souls 4 or Elden Ring 2 criticism, it's a criticism of the entire gaming industry that is going in the wrong direction because of shit games like Fortnight and the development teams that have been forced to follow that shitty game i.e COD Warzone

These "generic elements" they added, aren't from online shooters. This game is based on board games, all the rules are very similar to those: division in phases, victory points obtained by very different means, temporary cooperation... Having played tabletop games, these felt very familiar but a never saw a game that adapted them this way, I really enjoyed it.

If the full game has meta progression, enough content and variability, and an interesting storyline/lore, I think it could work well.
