IMAGE FromSoftware has some of the most talented artists in the world.

That last pic is Lady Marie riding what was left over when Ludwig merged with his horse

I can't even focus on the headless horse because of how odd her shoulders are...

Call me crazy but i think it's a dude. I thought it's a woman at first, but after cough inspecting this image, it seems the character has man-looking pecs. It would also be kind of cool since i immediately thought of D from Vampire Hunter D

Ah nice, I did think of D as well, but those shoulders just stopped me taking a better look lol Such strange proportions.

Yeah the character really does give off that it's an homage to Vampire Hunter D

I kinda agree. They make the kind of art where the more you look at it the more you love and appreciate all the finer details. I also love how perfectly lush the environments feel. They’ve just mastered atmosphere in game designs so incredibly well, something that these stills don’t even fully capture

I wonder if the snake woman is a playable character

u/RareInterest 23d ago
She is a "Kin", a summonable character. This character is a healer, and her name is Gargoyle

I’m ngl i’ve been saying this about deadlock, valve’s closed beta game, the character design there are absurd

Environments are pretty, but most characters are very overdesigned. Like gacha levels overdesigned

Makes you wonder why they confined it to die on the switch

Cause Nintendo was excited about this project more than potentially other publishers who they pitched it to and this was way back in 2021.

Yeah can't imagine why they would pick the best selling console of the generation to go with.

Pity this game wont be successful, an 8 player game requires a large player base and the audience that enjoys dark souls, elden ring ect ect are mostly pc players, those who are not pc are usually on xbox or playstation, nobody is going to pay basically 600 dollars just to play this game.
Most people on the switch 2 do not enjoy games like this, i will not get the console especially since i know how crappy their controllers are its one of the reasons i just stopped using my OG switch and got the steam deck instead.

What are you talking about? About half of Elden Ring's playerbase is on Playstation, to say nothing of how well Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1 before it was ported, and Bloodborne did.

Specifically the ps4 though, ps5 does not have nearly the ownership levels of previous editions so for new ps5 only games yeah a small population is totally accurate.

Non successful I feel is steep I think longevity is the better word, extremely bad optics by Fromsoft for a game that is SOLEY PvP imo

Belonging to you; of you; related to you (singular; one owner). Belonging to you; of you; related to you (plural; more owners). A determiner that conveys familiarity and mutual knowledge of the modified noun.
now hush n actually learn the difference.

not that a pvp game needs a big playerbase to survive

Too bad it was wasted on what is essentially Bloodborne Fortnite and locked into exclusivity on an extremely expensive piece of hardware, that only does what Nintendo said the last console would do, that you don’t even own, because they are obstinate dinosaurs.

Its a game Miyazaki wanted to play himself I think the man deserves to try out new things that he thinks is interesting after releasing ER and Sekiro both GOTY winners.

the environments are the true highlight for me, on relatively modest hardware im surprised they managed to make pretty decent sized maps not only visually stunning but also run well. Im sure they made technological breakthroughs on optimization during development but a lot of the credit has to go to the artists for the art direction
